About Me
My name is Emily Margaret Reid, I'm 26 and live in Aberdeen, Scotland, where I was born and raised. I share my Flat with my two cats, Pippin, Merry (named after The Lord of the Rings) & my Partner Daniel.
I’ve worked for the NHS for nine years and currently work as a healthcare support worker in palliative care.
My first memory of crafting is making Christmas cards with my granny. I still remember her giving me a pink box full of card-making supplies—that’s where it all began.
The first antique I ever bought was an old camera, and my biggest antique treasures are two rings—one Victorian and one Georgian. My favourite era is the Victorian period, when even the most ordinary things were made beautifully .

Where it all Began
For as long as I can remember, creativity has been a big part of my family. My dad started his career as a welder—he once made an incredible gate for my grandparents’ house. My mum is always upcycling and giving second-hand furniture a new life. My nanny used to love buying all sorts of treasures at auctions,My Auntie Babs is a talented knitter, and my Granda was forever fixing things in the garden.
My biggest is granny. Honestly—what didn’t she do? She knitted, made dresses, Christmas decorations, created cards, did cross-stitch and embroidery... she tried it all. I’ll tell you more about her another time, because there’s a lot to say.
With a family like this, I think it’s clear I was always meant to do something creative. And in many ways, I feel like my journey is only just beginning.

My Dream
This is me putting my ideas and energy onto paper. I’ve got so many dreams for the future, but one that really stands out is creating an antique-inspired creative hub.
I imagine a space filled with beautiful antiques, where you can sit with a cup of tea and a slice of cake, surrounded by inspiration. A place where artists can come together, get creative, and share their skills. I’d love to run craft workshops and invite other makers to do the same—a space built on community, creativity, and a love for the past.
So here it is—my dream. Let’s see where it goes. I’d love for you to come along on the journey.
Make it stand out.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
